Regression
A learning task in which a model predicts a continuous numerical value.
Typical examples are sales forecasts, property price estimates or predicting energy consumption. Unlike classification, the result is not a category but a number.
Regression is one of the oldest methods in statistics and is still widely used today – from simple linear models to neural networks.
