Natural language processing (NLP)

NLP includes tasks such as translation, summarisation, sentiment analysis, text classification, question answering and extracting names and figures from documents.

In the past, each of these tasks needed its own specialised model. Large language models now handle many of them at once and have fundamentally changed the field.
