AI model
Also: Modell
The trained “brain” of an AI system: a mathematical function that computes outputs from inputs.
An AI model is created by training it on data. Millions to billions of internal numerical values – the parameters – are adjusted so that the model performs its task as well as possible, such as continuing text or recognising images.
Products such as chat assistants usually consist of one or more models plus surrounding software: user interface, safety filters, search functions and connections to other systems.
