Training

During training the model sees examples again and again, makes predictions and compares them with the desired result. The deviation is used to change the parameters so that the error becomes smaller.

Training large models takes weeks to months and requires enormous computing power. Afterwards the model is frozen and only used for inference – until it is replaced by fine-tuning or a new version.
