Semantic search

For the query “How do I request time off?”, a semantic search also finds a document titled “Holiday policy” – even though no word matches. Embeddings make this possible.

In practice it is often combined with classic keyword search (“hybrid search”) so that exact terms such as article numbers are also found reliably.
