Generative AI learns from large amounts of data how content is typically structured and produces new variations on request. Well-known examples are chat assistants based on large language models and image generators based on diffusion models.

The results often look convincing but are not automatically correct. Professional use therefore requires human review, clear rules on copyright and data protection, and labelling where necessary.
